The EV Chargepoint Grant is available across the UK, although you cannot apply for this grant if you live in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.. It contributes 75% to the cost of installing one chargepoint and is capped at £350. It is accessible to homeowners or tenants living in flats or single-use properties. The applicant must have access to a private off-street parking space, lease or use an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle that is eligible for the grant (CO2 emissions that are calculated to be under 50g/km). The WCS offers funding to eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations for the installation of EV chargepoints. The grant covers up to 75% of the total purchase and installation costs, with a maximum of £350 per socket and up to 40 sockets per applicant, spread across all sites. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online and receive a unique identification voucher code by email, which can be given to an OZEV authorised installer to claim the grant on their behalf. The installation must be completed within 6 months of the voucher’s issue date, and the installer cannot charge the applicant in advance of payment. If an applicant applies for less than 40 sockets, they can submit additional applications in the future until the limit is reached, with special rules for linked enterprises.
